Two more days.

…until I know if I will continue to see these little lambs every weekend. One of my favorite families will discover on Thursday where they will spend their Residency portion of med school, and I’m pretty sure they’ll be ditching Utah for the next five years. I’ve got my fingers crossed for U of U, even though that’s where they’ve been for the past four. I’ll just have to start saving for my plane tickets now, I guess!

Update: They matched!! They are headed to South Carolina for just one year of interning, and then back to University of Utah for residency. We are so blessed to have them back soon! There was only one spot in U of  U’s Radiation / Oncology program, and my bro-in-law got it. Thanks Jonny, for being a genius!

Let’s see how many times I can post the same(ish) comment because the computer was weird….

OH, how I LOVE these. What a treasure these little facial expressions are. I can’t wait to print them. What a treasure you are for a sister. Thank you so much!

el Luchador (the wrestler)

So you may not know this about my family, but our favorite show EVER is Nacho Libre. We can quote it like nobody’s business. As my Dad says, “You know you’ve watched a movie too many times when your family becomes the bonus features.” Haha! My brother Jake is on an LDS Mission in Texas and sent us these awesome luchador masks. OF COURSE it called for a photo shoot! Now, how to get my boys to take off their shirts in February and run around outside in costume? The answer presented itself last week after school when they came home begging me for a root-beer from our company pop machine. I don’t give my kids soda much at all and originally told them no. They begged, and a light bulb went off as I remembered I needed something from them. I said, “You can share one if you PROMISE to do something for me.” They agreed to my terms, so the next day I took them out to the field behind our house and within seven minutes (because it was freezing cold and almost snowing) captured some of my favorite photos.  Ever. (Cue “Religious Man” theme song…)

PS Happy Anniversary to me and my hubby today! Best 9 years of my life, woot woot!!

A huge thanks

I am so happy to have my website back up and running again! I really missed it while it was down, which shouldn’t surprise me but I felt like I didn’t “exist” (at least, not online anyway) for several days. A huge thanks goes out to TR, who helped me immensely to switch hosting accounts and get this puppy back up and running again. In celebration, I can finally post these pictures of TR, his beautiful wife Katrina, and these SIX handsome brothers!   From what I hear, these boys already get chased by girls (no wonder!)

I swear I have seen this family before, but I can’t remember when or where. They look good like right out of a Martha Stewart magazine ad!!!

You may have noticed…

…things are changing a bit around here! I had the lovely experience of a website crash last week. After a ridiculous amount of hours spent working through it (and an overhaul of my logo and color scheme) I think I’m almost finished. I’m a “tweaker” though, so there might be a few minor adjustments still being made. Thanks for being patient as I work to get everything back in place. Until then, here’s one of the sweetest smiles I’ve seen all winter.
